Can I get a step by step procedure for handling clients with severe COVID anxiety i.e. health concerns of self and others?

It is natural to feel anxious when there is a health emergency like COVID-19 and there are several restrictions around. Increased emphasis on taking precautions also makes us become vigilant. However, some individuals experience more anxiety than others and may become extra cautious causing dysfunction in their daily activities.
Steps that are helpful to contain health anxiety are:
1. Avoid watching news channels which exaggerate/sensationalise the COVID related information;
2. Maintain your regular routine;
3. Interact with family members and engage in activities/hobbies which interest you;
4. Do not keep checking for the symptoms or visiting doctors;
5. When you have anxiety symptoms (palpitation, sweating, breathlessness, etc.), practice deep breathing, meditation or any brief relaxation methods. Do not interpret these as symptoms of Corona;
6. Do not avoid doing regular activities because of the fear of COVID, e.g. going out to buy groceries, vegetables, etc. Take precautions and do tasks that are essential.
